The Covenant ships are less detailed by design. In the video game, they have a sort of holographical hex pattern: http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2013 ... aphXMF.png

By the way, I didn't see these angles of the Scourge ships yet: https://gemana.wordpress.com/2015/07/31 ... -revealed/

Not really my style. Strangely, even though they're very different from the other faction, the designs overall feel same-y. They're all curves and ridges, but the overall layout still feels the same.

Oh wow that's interesting! Are they also injection plastic?

Interesting point that Islacrusez makes and I agree to an extent. I get the feeling that people's love of Halo designs comes not from any particularly innovative design qualities but rather their affinity with the game itself.
Oh yeah I can make that....

Glue most of the bits of that spiky eldar ship flat to a disk and you've got a passable necron ship too!

How hard would it be to pull the 3d images and print them?

But let's be honest, 3D prints of game models would be quite underwhelming. 3D models for graphics are very different to 3D models for printing. Remember too that a lot of the details on the animation models are just skins, so the print would seem a lot less detailed.
Oh yeah I can make that....

Yup, Mangozac is spot on. My training is in computer games art and I highly doubt the assets used in-engine are not going to be worth printing. Normal maps will add most of the interesting detail and smooth larger surfaces which are made up of insufficient geometry to achieve a smooth print.
