Good call on standing up a Carnifex to make a Swarmlord, considering the fluff.

As much as I'm not a fan of the typical GW bonesword, you've done an admirable job sculpting it. The Back edges in particular are very clean and crisp. Seeing the FW in there for scale really showcases how truly massive that model will be when done and it's just scary.

I realise it's still pretty early in this build to look at the details but do you plan on doing any extension work to the legs at all? Maybe it's the camera angles but the shins seem a bit short in proportion to the length of the upper thigh.

Anyways, liking the progress thus far and looking forward to more.

Hmmm that front cover from "prototype" seems interesting. It certainly presents a more realistic organic looking sword. I was thinking about it earlier and would it not be possible to do a sword as a kind of inverted scythe (similar to the normal 'nid talons)?

Mate! That is some sharp card work there!

Yes, to extending the shins, yes to the fine detailing you mention on the sword blade etc, but otherwise just need to get the head finished.. he is still too 'crew cut' in my mind :o

Hmmm, not so sure...

The Trygon crest needs to sit further down to merge with original head plates still, and then the spike needs to rock back slightly.

The size and shape of it though are really cool!

Uh, wow.

I honestly don't know what else to say. That character definitely outclasses the usual "gribbly" category and also seems 2x too big to be a Lictor since he's just too big to be look like he could 'move through cover' except as a meaty bulldozer. At the same time however, he just reads perfectly as being a 'nid.

So what is it? Is it a beefed up Lictor or a Fex? Whatever it is it just screams 'nid so it'll fit no matter what it is.

Cheers,
