It was more of a case of finding a canon merc unit that fitted the paint scheme with a pretty logo :oops:

I really like the white a blue scheme of one of the Davion units (lyran guards?) If i had to make a 2nd lance it would be in that scheme.

For the clans I pulled something off MWO and tweaked it to work with my Jade falcon concept;

Do you design everything in 3d before printing it on the paper?

The basic design comes from the paper plans which were extracted and converted from the MW4 game.

I then jazz them up and edit them in Adobe illustrator to make them work for laser cutting
