Ring cold casting

Postby dToo » Fri May 27, 2016 6:02 am

Hi,

I would like to know if the cold casting method will work well for making a ring. which type of resin will be the best for this application?

I've tested with epoxy resin, but it doesn't cures strong enough and is bending easily, maybe that's because of the thin walls of the ring, but I'm not sure, would love to receive an advice from you.

Thanks!

How strong do you want it to be? I'm sure some polyurethanes would be adequate, but it's still going to be miles away from the strength of a metal ring.
Oh yeah I can make that....
