How to prepare a resin statue

Postby whitepoodle » Mon Oct 17, 2016 12:14 pm

I want to paint a resin 45" angel statue for my church. This statue has been store purchased and it's present color is ivory. How do I prepare it for painting? Do I need to sand and need a primer and what kind of paint to use ? Also, I'd like to seal it with a clear semi-gloss. It will remain indoors.

Fusion for Plastic spray paint is an appropriate choice for this job because it is designed to bond to plastic and dries quickly. As with most paint jobs, it pays to prime resin furniture to ensure a good bond and a lasting finish.
