Joining a cured piece of resin to a fresh pour

Postby map1984 » Mon Mar 13, 2017 4:19 am

Hi, i want to make a small plate (picture a drinks coaster on legs), the legs puzzle me, I'd rather not do a two piece mould, so could i position the legs, maybe by hanging them over, into the one piece mould, which when filled with resin will set around the legs too??

Thanks for any help.

Most resins stick to themselves fine, just make sure the zone is clean. Transition mark may be visible.

In this case, you can make the leg heads with some shape that also ensures mechanical lock. Like a T.
