Battfleet Gothic Scratch built models

Hi I just got into Building BFG models this past december however i was dissapointed they have stopped comming out with new models so i decided to scratch build some models with clay and cast them in resin. I got some Imperial Light cruisers escorts and am currently working on a chaos Light cruiser. Im new to resin casting so they arent perfect but let me know what you think.

Always great to see more BFG scratchbuilds! Looking good, although I do have a couple of comments. What kind of clay are you using - is it epoxy putty? Personally I would try to avoid using clay for everything but the prow on the Chaos and Imperial ships. Everything else can be done simply by cutting shapes out of styrene. Make sure you buy lots of different styrene thicknesses - the more variety you use the better things will look

It looks like the turrets on the Chaos cruiser are movable? If so that's pretty cool!

Well I took your advice and built a frigate completely out of plastic except for the prow It was at lot easier to get in fine details. now I just gotta make some molds. Guess ill be building more if gw is gonna stop producing models

Excellent work! That looks way better and I really like it - you're captured some really good shapes and details.

Yes, using putty for the prow is definitely appropriate (I do the same).
