Fil Dunn and his 'Bot of war!!!

Postby Warhound » Sat Nov 28, 2009 8:35 pm

For those of you that have been following this beast, Fil Dunn has at last managed to pull his brush out and get the (2nd) suit painted! (The first was sold to fund the second)

While there are lot of Tau 'titans' out there, Fil's work is the finest form of kitbashing- finding shapes to fit form- beautiful work- and the paint is bad ass too, with some great Tau 'tribal' markings!!!

Anyway- NOT my work, but his, I give you..................TADA V2!

It looks even better than the first one, my only negative critique is why the devilfish cockpit? IMO It just looks out of place to me and the suit would be much better off without it. Some people may like it but I think it clashes with the suit a bit too much. Other than that he's done an exceptional job.

Wow. Just wow. It brings tears of joy to my eyes! It looks so amazingly fantastic it almost makes me want to give up on my Superheavy Walker.

The painting is top notch too!

The railguns doubled up like that look especially awesome and I can honestly say there's nothing about this baby I don't like!

Hmmm dejection is now starting to turn to inspiration. Maybe this should be my next kit after the Walker? 8-)
Oh yeah I can make that....

If Zac decides to do one of those..... Hmmmm..... I'll take 3!!!!
And I don't even play those, 'little purply blue types who's eyes are far too close together'.
Sorry Tau

Fil absolutely nailed it. I must agree though with devilfish cockpit it looks less 'Distric 9' and more like 'Optimus Prime'. TBH I'm not anywhere near that acomplished to crtique, just MHO.

Hey we may be on to something here......... NO! First I've got to finish my current project

If I indeed do something like this it wouldn't be quite as big. Maybe more in line with a Knight titan.

Honestly the cockpit thing doesn't bother me - I figure it gives the pilot a secondary vision system in case the head is damaged.
Oh yeah I can make that....
