I'm a bushy-tailed newbie to casting, but I'm interested in learning about how an experienced person would cast multiple colors of resin into the same finished piece.
I'm aware of a process where the caster makes a first pour into the mold using a first color, lets it partially cure, and then makes a second pour using a second color and allows the entire batch to finish curing. However, this process only allows a horizontally layered final product.

What I don't understand is how to get certain details in one color and other parts in another color, particularly when they aren't at distinct horizontal "levels" in the mold.
