Resin Addict Forum

Hi Guys,
I have no background in moulding/casting/resins etc, but do alot of work in 3D printing (that's probably cheating to you guys!). I mostly 3D print anatomy teaching models that have lots of fine thin vessels and intricate parts. These often break and I am looking for a resin of some kind to cover and strengthen them. It would need to be clear and relatively quick drying. I have covered them in superglue in the past, which sort of works, but I think I need something thicker. I tried a polyurethane resin of some sort - but it took many hours to dry and is impossible to stop from running down and pooling on one side.

I have no idea what is on the market or what alot of products do. Is there anything that gives a type of "shrink-wrap" effect, as if I was to put a model in a bag and suck out the air?...

Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Have you thought about spraying on heavy coats of clear lacquer? Several coats could build up considerably and provide the protection you need.
