Well I'm going to try this out next week and then I'll have results for you. My mantis is on its last legs. It's going to die any day now, so I may have to find another way to preserve it in the meantime.

Well I haven't had any internet access for over a month, so I haven't been able to update.
Unfortunately my mantis died before I had a chance to make it to town and I decided to keep it in a vial of alcohol. It's already lost most of its color, but it's still intact, so it's better than having it eaten up by other bugs or gathering mould.
