Here's something interesting.



The video has some annoying music and gets a little boring but it certainly shows the potential for what may come along in a few years.

Very cool and at a very good price point. They talk about aiming at kids by making toys and stuff but I can't see:
a) Anybody spending 1000 bucks on something like this for a kid
b) Any kid having the patience to sit around while it does all of that machining! It would take hours!

It's probably a little small for the likes of what I want to do, but for the average 28mm modeller it would be ample. I certainly think somebody like yourself could benefit from it Steve.

A lot of it's value depends on the software and controls.

What file formats can it use for input?

What s the largest file it can effectively handle?

Does it allow multiple tools for the same part?

Does it accept standard G-code programs?

Further concerns are:

What kind of cutting tools does it use and cost/ availability of them.

Small work area.
