Thank you for explaining everything so clearly! This has been a great help.
After a bad run with a Chinese factory I think I might give casting another go.
I've one question though; I'm reproducing doll parts which have channels drilled through so they can be strung with elastic. I'm planning on reproducing ones made of sculpey and I'm scared that even if I clog them up with plastercine the pressure pot will explode them or just force silicone into them. Sorry if it sounds silly. ^^;;; also sorry if this has already been explained.

Jynxia, sorry for the late response!

Filling the channels with plastecine should be fine. Worst case is a bit of silicone gets forced into the drilled channel. No big deal - it's not going to ruin anything. Simply pull the part out and trim off the unwanted silicone...

I got a general question but, how much psi loss would you say is normal within 1 hour? I feel like I'm losing way too much pressure.

I think I lose around 10 PSI (starting at 55 PSI). How much are you losing?

I would say it doesn't matter anymore since it started leaking like shit just now. Just like the old one.

Edit : since this post feel so alone I thought I could give you an update on the subject. I believe the issue with this pot from hell was simply my strength, because a friend made me a tool to help me tighten everything and it stopped leaking ever since so yeah, girls ><;
