On the other hand with the right software you could turn it into papercraft, which would be cool in itself.
Also can we talk about how it's not a glowy-neon nightmare now? I am genuinely impressed by the latest developments and I'm hoping that it's because they're listening to the fanbase. Wouldn't that be nice? A developer that listens to input?

It can really go in all directions. If it will be like the GW codex books, it will be a bit of a bummer. However, if it'll be done by the same guys who did the Horus Heresy books for Forge World we might be having a real game changer on our hands...

My money is on it being neither: it will be boxed sets with limited selections of models. There won't be a return to the glory days of specialist games.
