A new diversion: LOTD Kill Team

Postby Vaaish » Sat Oct 01, 2016 11:28 am

So with the release of the new Kill Team from GW, I decided a fun diversion would be working up a quick kill team. Seeing as I have a ton of marines and very low likelihood of ever using them, I decided to convert up some LOTD and use my last 3rd edition speeder.

The load out is this:

1x Land Speeder 2x HB
3x LOTD legionaries
1x LOTD legionaire with Multimelta
1x LOTD sergeant with power axe.

I'm planning to do these as a diversion from epic stuff just to keep from getting burned out. I've intentionally left a lot of blank space on the armor for freehand work too. Right now I'm through cleaning and initial assembly so next up is gap filling with GS.

Well I must say those bring back some memories. Like you've raised my bits box of nearly twenty years ago! Knowing your usual quality of painting these are going to be something really special...

hehe, well I've had these guys for years myself. I'd originally planned to use them as a honor guard or sternguard squad, but I got sick of regular 40k. Kill team, though has always been fun and these seemed a perfect fit for it.
