hi there, im new to the forum and making molds. im a c5-c6 quadriplegic and ive been 3d printing for almost 2 years. ive been creating a gaming controller for myself and other disabled people. one of the features is a mouthpiece that holds 4 buttons inside to be able to click with your tongue. ive got the design done for the mold and 3d printed it but I need help with a few things. is it common to pour silicone in a plastic mold for a functioning part? if so what silicone should I use to make this mouthpiece out of? it obviously needs to be safe to be in your mouth. im mainly trying to find out if im going about this in the right way. ive already tried to inject my plastic 3d printed mold with aquarium silicon to test it but it seals up and never cures in the middle. any advise would be greatly appreciated
