New member with typical questions

Hi to all.
I’m new in this forum and after reading as much as I can I have some questions for the “experts”.
I was casting with resin and lead for some years now, but I want to go one steep more.
The more important one is which is the equivalent of cmHG to inchHG.
All of you say that the good vacuum is 29”HG but my vacuometer comes in cmHG.

I can reach 70-71cmHG with my pot and the home made pump (as you can se in the photo), and seem to be a good vacuum, but I want to be sure.

Also this is a photo of my setup that I use until now, when I had purchased a new 10 liter pot that seems to go better.

In a next post I will explain the parts of the system, the pressures I can reach and the vacuum I reach also. Is really a home made system and until now for my hobby works perfect.

Thanks to all.

Welcome to RA Mirva! Thanks for sharing the pictures of your equipment!

Converting between cmHg and inHg is easy:

To convert from cmHg to inHg divide by 2.54
To convert from inHg to cmHg multiply by 2.54

So your 71cmHg converts to 27.95inHg. That's not a bad vacuum ;)
Oh yeah I can make that....
