What resin would i use for a modular gaming board.

Postby Kiour_gr » Fri Nov 05, 2010 8:26 pm

If i designed my own modular gaming board, what resin should i use?

It would need to be cheap cause it would require large quantaties, then i dont know would i want it flexible or rock solid?

And could you use plastic insted of resin? is that possible?

Thanks.

I want to make the board not terrain for it.

The square size of the slate would be 1 or 1,5 foot (12 or 18 inches)

I imagine that as long as you don't use a brittle resin, it would be fine. Smooth Cast 300 has worked well for me up to 5". Thats the biggest I have cast.

While I have not tried it out yet, AeroMarine in the USA has a very durable "jet black"resin. In their video they wack pieces with a hammer to show it's durability. Only drawback is it's work time is only 3 minutes.
