Hey everyone. As mentioned in my admittance form, I am a novice when it comes to working with the more advanced stuff, however as an x-mas and birtday present for myself I bought a Warhound Titan for my chaos force and I am now in the early stages of putting it together. I'm hoping to get some feedback and some tips&tricks in how to proceed to make this piece what I want it to become
I've gone through and laid the various pieces out to get a look at everything. All the big pieces are there, and all the small pieces appear to be there as well with no obvious and large defects. There are two pieces that need some tender love and care, but nothing major. I also did a bit of dry-fitting to get a feeling for the assembly.
I have now cleaned off most of the parts and they're out for drying as I type this. I expect to start sawing/clipping and making the parts ready tomorrow before I start doing some dry-fitting. That will hopefully also give me a rough idea on where and what to pin.
Took these pictures yesterday:
Now, my plan has so far been to assembly and focus on the feet and legs first. However, BlueRonin pointed out to me that this may not be the best of ideas given that they - in contrast to the main body - need to be adjusted and positioned. I am thus considering assembling more of the top first to give the hip some "feel" before I decide on the pose for the feet. I hope to avoid a pose where the Titan looks like it's taking a crap, or a pose that simple makes it fall over all the time. So my first question to the more experienced modellers is; where do you usually start assembling your titan?
Anyway, I'll keep you updated on the progress, and I really do appreciate all the input you might have for me.
